Manually downloading and updating Iiyama drivers is a very tedious and time consuming process. I have tried a fresh reinstall with the manufacturers version of Win7. From this moment on the issue with the monitor, it never came back and it is still working fine now. As you can imagine I also reinstalled Windows 7 again from scratch on a brand new ssd. I also asked Iiyama and they told me that I have to install their drivers too but I could not find any install files. It oiyama that it could be a timeout issue, if you do discover a solution, or have any more information, please post it.
